Irene Beeman

Irene Beeman, MSW, is Program Manager of the Canadian Consortium on Child & Youth Trauma (CCCYT) at the Centre for Research on Children and Families (CRCF) at McGill University, and a clinical social worker in private practice.  She manages diverse projects, including coordinating the CCCYT annual bilingual Symposium on Child & Youth Trauma as well as the Trans Youth and Families journal watch group at the CRCF. She is also a trained birth doula and gynecological teaching associate. Her interests include trauma & resilience, health literacy, gender+sexual+erotic+relational diversity & identity, human sexuality & intimate relationships, and birth & parenting culture. Irene is currently on maternity leave.
