Isabelle Daignault

Isabelle V. Daignault, Ph.D., is an associate professor at the Université de Montréal's School of Criminology. A licensed psychologist, psychotherapist and trainer, she is a researcher associated with the Marie-Vincent Interuniversity Research Chair on Child Sexual Abuse. She is also a research member of the Equipe Violence Sexuelle et Santé (EVISA) and the Centre International de Criminologie Comparée (CICC). Her research program focuses on the impact of exposure to potentially traumatic experiences during childhood. More specifically, her work focuses on sexual victimization and the emergence and maintenance of problematic sexual behaviors in children. Her passion lies in the study of strategies for improving child care and the factors that influence the health and recovery of families exposed to violence, including trauma-sensitive practices and centralized, integrated service provision.
