CIUSSS de la Capitale-Nationale
The Centre intégré universitaire de santé et de services sociaux (CIUSSS) de la Capitale-Nationale actively contributes to improving the overall health of the population of its territory, namely the rural and urban areas of the regions of Charlevoix, Québec City, and Portneuf. It offers local, integrated, and accessible health and social services, in particular integrated services specialized in child abuse and maltreatment for children aged 0 to 17 years (known as SIAM - Services intégrés en abus et maltraitance). The CIUSSS is focused on quality, safety, and performance, and its care and services are based on best practices and innovation, with the participation of users and their families. The CIUSSS mobilizes and coordinates local networks to meet the needs of the communities it serves. Affiliated with Université Laval and in collaboration with educational institutions and its four research centers, the CIUSSS ensures quality teaching and develops cutting-edge knowledge and practices. It also promotes the sharing and dissemination of scientific and clinical knowledge in order to contribute to improving the quality of care and services offered.
